The Crêpe Cafe

It was one of those mornings when you wake up and just crave so much food. I woke up craving for waffles! I think I was dreaming about them LOL.

The weather was in my favour too and so I decided to visit The Crêpe Café which is located by the beach.

The crêperie was launched in 2011 by French-Australian entrepreneurs. It belongs to BFC Retail Group who had opened the very first branch in Queensland. Currently there are 7 branches worldwide. In Muscat, The Crepe Café is situated at Jawaharat Al Shatti alongside many other restaurants.

The ambience was chirpy and we chose to sit outdoors as the weather was at its best.

The menu gives an insight on the beautiful food the café has to offer. They have waffles, crepes, pancakes, omelettes, smoothies and other breakfast noms. The prices are very reasonable too.

We chose a mixed Berry Waffle and Hot Dog Crepe.

The Mixed Berry Waffle was gorgeous to look at! A giant yummy waffle topped with blackberries, strawberries and raspberry syrup served with a scoop of ice cream and some whipped cream. The result was really delicious and I was contemplating whether to order one more.

Mixed Berry Waffle OMR 2.500

Jumbo Hot Dog Crepe OMR 2.300

The Hot Dog Crepe had a jumbo beef sausage wrapped in a thin crisp crepe and topped with some cheese, mustard and ketchup zig-zaged over it. It was hot, wholesome and hearty.

Damn good food indeed. The service was fine too except for the long wait for our food. Nevertheless, looks like The Crêpe Café is going my new favourite spot for breakfast :D

Total billing for two dishes, one soft drink and one small bottled water (including taxes):  OMR 5.777
